Thanks to an extraordinary gift from Lord David and Dame Susie Sainsbury via the Gatsby Charitable Foundation, we have temporarily closed our doors to start the first phase of a transformative redevelopment project.

During this first phase we will completely overhaul our auditorium and technical infrastructure, improving sightlines while retaining the innate character of the space loved by those who know the theatre.

After the completion of our auditorium we plan to build a new 200-seat studio theatre on the roof of our building. This additional space will offer an ambitious and vibrant new programme of performances, and learning and engagement activities for our community.
